The RDS Dublin Horse ShowEvery August, horse enthusiasts from all over the world flee to the Mecca that is the RDS Dublin Horse Show in Ballsbridge. For most people, Thursday at the RDS is Ladies' Day, but for Irish Draught enthusiats, we are looking at different lovely ladies, with the Irish Draught mares and foals competing. Friday is the turn of the Irish Draught Stallions - this is always a fantastic class. In recent years, an addition to the schedule for the Irish Draughts is a performance class which takes place on Wednesday. The Irish Draught Horse Breeders Association always has a stand in the main hall, which is a great place to get information about Irish Draughts and to make useful contacts.
