Christy was awarded Class 1 classification from Horse Sport Ireland in March 2011 and has achieved a silver merit in Showjumping. Comments made by the inspectors stated that the stands over plenty of ground, a nicely topped horse with good head/neck connection. He displayed a good active canter, power and athleticism in jump and very powerful of his back and open of his haunches.

Christy is by Coolcronnan Wood (SeaCrest ex. Augusta's Vintage by Glenagyle Rebel) out of Derrynasagart Queen by Mountain View ex. Coolbay Lady by the Conquerer.

Crystal Crest was recently purchased by Cara Equine LLC an small American syndicate based in Kentucky. Christy will stand out the remainder of the 2011 season with Gordon Bryan at Mount Prospect Stud in Rathangan Co. Kildare. Christy will be availible by frozen semen in Ireland and Europe for 2012 and subsequent seasons. He will arrive in the U.S. in January 2012 where he will compete and stand at stud with Fleur Bryan at Parkmore Stud in Smithfield Kentucky.
